About the Samsung Prostar 816 Phone System and Starmail Voice Mail The Prostar 816 Plus is a small business phone system with big features. Right out of the box the 816 Plus comes ready to use and fully equipped for four lines and eight stations. Simply add one card to quickly and economically expand to six lines and twelve stations. Add a second card to reach the maximum capacity of eight lines and sixteen stations. The Prostar 816 Plus all-inclusive Key Service Unit comes equipped with two standard telephone ports, external page output, two door phone connections, music-on-hold, ring generator and battery backup switch over with trickle charger. Optional features on most telephones come standard on Prostar keysets. Every 816 model comes with a built in speakerphone, eight line keys and sixteen Direct Station Selection keys with busy lamp indications for all stations. These dual function keys also provide sixteen personal speed dial buttons. An additional eight fixed function and four programmable function keys allow you to customize the Prostar 816 Plus with the keys you need most. Choose either a display or non display model. Voicemail: Samsung's proprietary Starmail is specially designed to work hand in hand with the Prostar 816 Plus. Installation is simple and quick. An automatic setup program instantly provides access to a full range of features such as: call forwarding to a mailbox, one-touch message retrieval and group message notification. StarmaiL's proprietary keyset integration eliminates unnecessary dialing and makes voice processing hassle-free. Businesses requiring automatic attendant and voice mail will appreciate how smoothly Prostar works with StarmaiL. Comprehensive toll restriction: Because of the high demand for new telephone service, there are many new area codes and central office prefixes. With Prostar's extensive toll restriction plan you can still stop unauthorized telephone calls. Large allow and deny lists provide flexibility to control call abuse and ensure compatibility with these new area/office codes.
